Shadow

Dear Shadow, 
I am grateful of you
To be with me always, 
To grow with me all these years,
To walk sometimes a step ahead
Sometimes a step back
And sometimes together. 
I thank you for letting me imagine
The beautiful things 
That even don't exist in reality, 
And for the moments that hold my breath.
I thank you for making me realize
That once can seek for beauty in everything,
And to make me realize that I am still alive.
